Position Summary:
The Floor Technician is responsible for floor refinishing, scrubbing, waxing, shampooing and extracting carpets.
Essential Functions:
  • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety and security.
  • Be able to understand the function and operate floor buffer, high speed burnisher, walk behind carpet extractor, mops, buckets, brooms and all other types of housekeeping tools and equipment.
  • Be able to work all shifts
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Work with all housekeeping chemicals
  • Must be available on weekends
  • Other duties as assigned
Status and Scope:
Reports to Facilities Manager


Must have prior project experience waxing and shampooing floors. Must be able to work independently and able to operate all types of housekeeping equipment including floor buffers and carpet extractors.
Equipment Used:
Floor Buffer Low Speed, Burnisher, high speed, walk behind carpet extractor, upright carpet extractor, mops, vacuums, brooms, chemicals and all other types of housekeeping equipment.
Travel Requirements:   Little or No Travel (>10%)
Lifting Requirements: 
MEDIUM - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
